Hi Everyone

Over the last couple of weeks I have had some busy ladies bring in their projects to show me, so I took some photos to share with you.

Astrid made this beautiful quilt for her Mum and Dad's 60th wedding anniversary and included some of the Bali range. The photos that she place around the border are of her family. She is delivering it personally to them in Holland. I'm sure her Mum and Dad will be very overwhelmed.

Another lady from one of the groups is making her quilt from the Christmas range and is about to join the blocks together.

Julie's quilt for the Queen Charlotte class is complete and will be arriving in the shop this coming week. She will be teaching this class weekly on Monday's from 10am to 12 noon. The dates are October 8, 15th, 22nd and 29th. The class cost is $80.00.

Last week a friend of mine showed me a quilt named Patchwork of the Crosses, which I thought was just beautiful. This quilt was made by Lucy Boston who was born in 1892 and lived until 1990. Lucy didn't start quilting until she was over 60. She was also an author of childrens books, she wrote the Green Knowe series.

Since we ran our first English Paper Piecing BOM, I have found a new addiction, so have decided to start a sit and stitch group that will be called "The Lucy Boston Girls". The quilt can be as big or as small as you like, the blocks are approx 8 1/2".

The group will be on the third Friday of each month from 1.30pm till 3.30pm, throughout the year. Cost $5.00. Come and join in, have a coffee and a chat.

These are just a couple that I have done. They look really nice if you fussy cut.

Rhonda, was staying in Mentone for a couple of weeks thought she would like to do a class. This was her first experience with English Paper Piecing, so she has started her Patchwork of the Crosses. This was her progress after one class.

We mentioned that the shop window would feature panels made into quilts.

Until next time, happy quilting.
